Biography

Lonnie D. Johnson, a Partner at Clendening Johnson & Bohrer, P.C., focuses his practice in the areas of commercial and business litigation, construction law and litigation, environmental law, and insurance defense law. Mr. Johnson has extensive experience with handling complex litigation in both State and Federal courts involving preeminent experts and extensive documentary evidence.

His handling of numerous complex litigation matters has provided Mr. Johnson and his trial team with a proficiency in conducting and managing electronic discovery and administration of voluminous documentary evidence in both class action and complex cases. Mr. Johnson is consistently designated as an Indiana Super Lawyer (2008 - 2020) and selected by his peers for inclusion The Best Lawyers in America® (2012-2015). He is also a Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America.

Mr. Johnson is a Past President (2012), Board member, and Section leader of the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana. He is also active in the Defense Research Institute, the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys, and the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (FDCC). Mr. Johnson has authored 34 articles on civil litigation and is a frequent speaker at seminars. Additionally, he serves as faculty for the North Central Region Trial Academy.

Mr. Johnson has been honored with the Indiana State Bar Association Civility Award and the DRI Exceptional Performance Citation Award. He is also a registered mediator. Mr. Johnson, an Indiana native, is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Indiana University and received a B.A. Honors Degree with Highest Distinction. He earned his J.D. with Honors from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law.
