Biography
Robert D. Esrock is a senior associate at Clendening Johnson & Bohrer, P.C. admitted to practice in the State of Indiana, Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, Eastern District of Michigan, and Eastern District of Wisconsin.
Robert’s practice focuses on civil litigation and appeals. His experience includes commercial and business litigation, insurance defense, construction litigation, personal injury litigation, landlord/tenant disputes, housing cooperative law, professional negligence, and land use and easement disputes. Robert has extensive experience handling complex discovery involving confidential and proprietary documentation and expert materials.
Prior to joining CJ&B, Robert worked assisting indigent and low income individuals in cases against landlords, lenders, and debt collectors.
Robert graduated from Indiana University Bloomington's Maurer School of Law in 2020, where he served as Chief Justice of the moot court executive board and was inducted into the Order of the Barristers. Robert also received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Trademarks and Unfair Competition and was a member of the Intellectual Property Association. He was the primary author of a moot court brief which qualified his team for oral argument in an international moot court competition, making his team the only U.S. participants to qualify. Robert’s other professional experience includes serving on the board of directors of the Madison Scouts Alumni Association.
Prior to law school, Robert attended the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where he studied piano performance and music composition. Robert is an accomplished pianist and has won numerous piano competitions, including winning best in the State of Missouri multiple times. He also has ranked among the top fourteen young pianists in the United States. Robert has experience teaching music and music theory and he has led music ensembles at all levels, including middle school, high school, college, and professional musicians. Robert’s other music experience includes participation in the Madison Scouts drum corps from 2010 through 2014, where he held several leadership roles, and performance with countless other individuals and groups.
