Belinda R. Johnson-Hurtado, a Partner at Clendening Johnson & Bohrer, P.C., practices in civil litigation and concentrates on complex commercial litigation, insurance law, and personal injury law. Ms. Johnson-Hurtado is experienced in State courts trying complex business dispute matters as well as contract disputes and personal injury claims. She excels in the management, understanding, and handling of complex matters involving substantial documentary evidence and electronic discovery. Ms. Johnson-Hurtado also represents companies and individuals in front of the Indiana Court of Appeals.
Ms. Johnson-Hurtado has been designated by her peers as an Indiana Super Lawyers Rising Star® in Civil Litigation – Defense for 2013-2015. She is active in the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana. Ms. Johnson-Hurtado is active in her community’s Hispanic community working with and advising the firm’s Spanish speaking clients and publishing materials to help non-native English speakers understand the U.S. legal system and processes.
Ms. Johnson-Hurtado grew up in Posey County, Indiana. She graduated from the University of Evansville, cum laude, with a B.S. in Legal Studies. Ms. Johnson-Hurtado received her J.D., cum laude, from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law. She is also a 2002 Fellow of the Indiana Conference for Legal Education Opportunity (ICLEO).
