Kelly J. Pitcher, Of Counsel at Clendening Johnson & Bohrer, P.C., practices in civil litigation, focusing on medical malpractice defense. Ms. Pitcher has represented physicians and hospitals, in court, for over 25 years. She has extensive trial experience in all Indiana state and federal courts. Ms. Pitcher also represents her clients before the Indiana appellate courts.
Ms. Pitcher has been consistently designated as a Indiana Super Lawyer from 2010 through 2017 and as a Best Lawyer in America 2011 through 2017. She also received the Best Lawyer in America – Medical Malpractice Defense – in 2013. Ms. Pitcher is a regular and sought after speaker on the subjects of medical malpractice, risk management, and medical records. She is a member of Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana.
Ms. Pitcher is a life-long Indiana native, born in Plymouth. She received her Bachelor in Science in education from Indiana University – Bloomington. Ms. Pitcher graduated, cum laude, from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of law.

  • Pitcher serves on the board of Habitat for Humanity of Johnson County and led a team in the first Johnson County Women’s Build.
  • She is also active in a group of local attorneys and judges that support LACE, the Legal Aide Center of Elderet, Kenya.
  • She is involved in Indiana High School Mock Trial and chaired the Volunteer Committee for the 2013 National Championship hosted by Indiana.
